Couldn't recommend more for a quick stopover

We had a fun stay, loved how close we were to local attractions like the Aquarium of the Pacific, which was only a short drive away. The room suited our large family, including our dog, making the whole experience more enjoyable.

My kids wished there was a better play area for them.

The unique dive into a more residential vibe offers an interesting experience. Proximity to local eateries like Jersey Mike’s Subs is a nice touch for quick meals.

From the moment you arrive, the place feels like a neglected apartment complex rather than an inviting motel. The exterior is messy, and some rooms show signs of wear, with stains on walls and ceilings. Limited access to a shared microwave doesn't make for convenient meal prep, and the noise from neighboring tenants can spoil the tranquility of your stay. The parking situation is cramped, barely accommodating more than a couple of small vehicles. Overall, while it did have a unique location close to neighborhood spots, the upkeep leaves much to be desired.

Location is a score! Just a hop away from the flavor bomb that is SteelCraft and Jersey Mike's Subs. Plus, the room was clean—a little oasis in the wild Long Beach scene.

But let’s be real—the vibe was off. Felt less like a motel and more like a messy apartment complex. The noisy heater and those hard pillows definitely put a damper on the stay.

uptown inn has a great location, super close to one of my favorite spots. i felt welcomed by the friendly staff who were always there to help. it was easy to get to local restaurants and attractions without hassle.

The staff was friendly and helped with all our requests-we even got a discount when asking about nearby attractions! The shower was surprisingly nice, felt great after a long day!

The room was tiny, and honestly, it felt a bit neglected. There were stains on the walls and some questionable spots on the sheets. I didn’t see any bed bugs, but I was still uneasy. The mattress definitely needs replacing. it felt pretty worn out. I suggest bringing your own towels too because the ones provided were not great. Also, it's super cramped—you can barely walk around. Overall, it was not the comfiest stay I've had.
